Tagaytay a Perfect Weekend Getaway

This is our first out of town of the year after the nightmare incident we had with Cebu pacific Kalibo flight early this month, I will never ride with Cebu Pacific again and because of that I opted to skipped my El Nido trip with my RDI officemates.

Calaguera Church

Tagaytay is our destination, We left manila at 8:00 in the morning we had our breakfast at jollibee macapagal, even though we always frequent this area we still love coming back. This time our goal is to have our trip fit with our 5K budget. We arrived at 11:30 am in tagaytay it was kinda late because we dropped by at imus, cavite to check the MARK I mini cooper that my dad is currently restoring.

mahogany market
Mahogany Market

We headed directly to mahogany market for our lunch. we ordered the famous bulalo, tawilis, kaldereta and chicharon with free pineapple and banana for dessert, it only cost us P650. After our super sulit lunch.

We went to calaruega church it was a 20 minute ride from Mahogany market. The place is so beautiful and solemn it was a perfect place for a wedding, we even wanted to change the venue of our wedding after seeing the place hehe. We stayed there for only a few minutes because unluckily my camera had ran out of battery so we decided to check in at Keni po hotel to rest and recharge my battery.

picnic grove tagaytay
Zipline at Picnic Grove

I slept while maman and gaby tried the new swimming pool we left Keni po at around 5 pm and went to picnic grove to check their new attraction the zipline and cable car. Maman tried the zipline and also ride the cable car with our daughter Gaby, they both enjoyed the rides while I enjoyed taking pictures of them.

It was dinner time we searched for the cheapest food in the vicinity of “Tagaytay/Magallanes Square” i’m not sure of the name of the place but it’s where the most restaurants are located. Our searching paid of and we found this small tapsihan infront of figaro along the hi-way and a few meters away is a fried chiken kiosk, the dinner only cost us P400.

After our dinner we went to Robinson’s supermarket to buy some water and snacks for the following day, we stayed for awhile to listen to a acoustic band in the summit ridge after a few songs we decided to go back to the hotel, It was a nice way to end the day.

The party ended late at night so we decided to stay in a hotel inside subic freeport and in the morning we went to our Zoobic Safari day tour.
