Undoubtedly, Baguio City remains a prime tourist destination area in North Luzon. Baguio City is the Summer Capital of the Philippines. The City is also the gateway to other tourist destinations in the North. Most of the tourists either come to the city only or pass through on their way to other places in the Cordillera. This highlights the strategic role that Baguio City plays in the region’s tourism industry. The cool climate and fresh green and peaceful environment, not elsewhere found in other tourist destinations in the Philippines and of which the city is noted, historical land works, cultural heritages, natural, religious and man-made spots. Baguio City is the home of the Panagbenga Festival where the city is known as “Flower Garden City of the North” celebrates the festival in February and the highlights of the festivities includes flower, flower exhibits, lectures, garden tours, floral contest and a parade of floats.
Baguio City is the summer capital of the Philippines. Located in northern Luzon, Baguio City was established by the Americans in 1909, It is sited about 1,500 meters above sea level, high in the Cordillera mountain range giving the city an almost temperate climate.

The centrepiece of Baguio City is the Burnham Park which features a rectangular lagoon and open fields. The eastern part of the city is dominated by high-class residential areas surrounding the Camp John Hay, a former American military recreation zone now turned into a tourist residential-commercial area.
