Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery
Nagcarlan, Laguna
Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery is the only cemetery in the country that works as a meeting place for the rebel leaders of Laguna. Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery is located at an irregular terrain north of Mount San Cristobal. The cemetery facing the road has a vaulted entrance about 18 feet and two iron-grill gates.
Father Vicente Belloc, a Franciscan missionary, built the underground cemetery in 1851. Today, the new Nagcarlan partially restored was acknowledged as a national historical shrine, and the only one in the Philippines. Its’ baroque structure is being converted into a cultural enter where cultural, historical and religious presentation can be held.

Hello,
Thank you for the information that you provided. Quick question, how do you go to the Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery by just simply commuting from Manila.
Thanks.
rhoy
there are bus stations at buendia taft. take the manila -sta cruz route From Sta Cruz, ride a jeepney from the Sta. Cruz Public Market towards Nagcarlan which is an approximately 55-minute trip
it’s better if you take the manila-lucena bus line like jam transit. “bumaba ka sa san pablo city” and from san pablo you can ride a jeepney in the city proper to go to nagcarlan. its a better route! (buendia-san pablo city: 127pesos; SPC- nagcarlan-24pesos). thanks.
