My family have known the original owner of Bag of Beans, the British Naval Cook. My children then were in their grades school (my daughter now 27 yrs old and my son 22) – that long ago. When we first met Mr. Bean, he gave us quite a welcome. He even let us taste his Steak Pie to sample - Free. We were told to knock at the restaurant anytime even if the store is closed. From that time on, we have been a regular customer Everytime we go up to Tagaytay until now even after the demiss of Mr. Bean. Two/three weeks ago, we had lunch at the restaurant. And as usual, we take home breads We dont mind paying quite expensive meals as long as the quality is good. However, I was quite disappointed with your cinnamon raisin bread. We usually get bread from the Baguio Country Club. Before you were better than Baguio Country Club. I guess you know how it is with your bread. You have compromised the tradition of Bag of Beans> I am sorry to say that I wont be going back to be disappointed. Nanghihinayan lang ako.
